About Disability Care Partners
Our Story
Disability Care Partners was founded by Helen Lomas, who witnessed firsthand the emotional and financial cost when highly dependent individuals were forced into generic support models. She wanted to shift the confusion around poorly designed care plans, the resulting staff turnover, and the deep anxiety families face when the support system fails them.
Helen possesses an in-depth understanding and years of experience around what truly creates safety, consistency, and positive outcomes for this unique client group, and her mission is simple: to end the cycle of inadequate, generic disability support for high needs indivdiuals.
Disability Care Partners aspires to be the undisputed specialist partner in strategic service planning and reliable delivery in Aotearoa, and to help transform client funding into uninterrupted, high-quality, person-centered outcomes.
We believe that true support is not about simply filling a roster; it's about trust, expert planning, and stability with the entire whānau.
Helen has personally overseen the complexities of comprehensive needs assessment, care plan development, and critical service implementation, and she designs services that work in real-world environments.
Helen deeply champions the Enabling Good Lives (EGL) principles, which recognise that clients and their families must be empowered to choose their support. This commitment is reflected in every service DCP offers, ensuring care is always expertly planned and delivered.
Disability Care Partners believes that to provide the best care, you must invest in the best people. Helen's commitment to employee well-being directly translates to workforce stability, and the exceptional quality of care our clients receive.
Under Helen's guidance, DCP is not only providing care, but is building the strategic blueprint for specialised support that is reliable, expertly managed, and deeply personal.
